About us
The Foundation of Social Integration Prom was established in 2004. It assembles people from various professions: teachers, trainers, psychologists, ethnologists, historians, and sociologists. The team of our permanent co-operators consists of several dozen active social activists. This professional variety reflects the character of our interests and activities, including education and research on civil society and culture.
Our common aim is the integration of individuals and groups at risk of marginalization and social exclusion. We are united by our passion for our work and our belief that we can shape reality.
We focus on children, dysfunctional families, the Roma minority, and individuals with mental health issues. We help students and graduates, including those from abroad.
The primary form of the Foundation’s activities is the operation of community centers for children. Both of our establishments have an integrative character. Five days a week, Polish and Roma children can find additional help with their school subjects and participate in engaging workshops. We offer our wards the opportunity to develop their passions and cultural traditions. The result is an integration band, Terni Romani Bacht, where children learn not only dance and sing but also tolerance.
Since 2009, we have been part of the European Solidarity Corps, and since 2011, we have held accreditation for hosting, coordinating, and sending organizations. So far, we’ve hosted over 200 volunteers from abroad and sent 11 volunteers from Poland.
